Interactive technologies (i-tech), most commonly now referred to as “screens,” are part of modern life. They are wonderful tools that facilitate work, school and socialization.

They can also be rather fun. That said, there is increasing and compounding evidence that the way we use them is also harmful. i-Tech can cause or contribute to a lack of wellness including anxiety, depression, learning disabilities/ADHD, anger management, marital discord, defiance disorder, conduct disorder, chronic insomnia, erectile dysfunction and more.

Alteration of socio-emotional and cognitive development in infants and children is also a major issue, as we have assimilated the technologies without fully understanding their effect on the developing brain.

This presentation will separate the science from the hype, helping us all recognize and choose between healthy integrated use versus unhealthy interfering use.
